- The Polish large-fruited Dogwood variety "Dublany" is characterized by delicious, sweet, pear-shaped fruits. Also interesting is its high sugar content and excellent taste.
- The large-fruited Dogwood has interesting growth; in the first year, it can have growth spurts of up to 50 cm, but the older it gets, the slower it grows.
- It is ideal for cultivation in our region, but also tolerates higher altitudes well. It grows upright.
- Dogwood belong to the long-living trees. Peaches are partially self-pollinating, but for a quality harvest and large fruits, it is advisable to have a pollinator in the form of a different variety.
- Blooming begins in March, and the blossom withstands spring frosts well. The fruits are red, weighing approximately 3.5-4.5g with a pit. The shape of the fruit is pear-like. The taste is refreshingly sweet.
- The fruit of the Dogwood tree is ideal for direct consumption, as it contains many vitamins, minerals, anthocyanin pigments, and polyphenols. Adequate watering is necessary during fruit ripening. They can also be preserved, used to make juices, or liqueurs.
- The fruits ripen in mid-August. Growing peaches is undemanding. We can expect a harvest already in the first year after planting. Dogwood do not require pruning, but it is possible to do shaping pruning.
- Dogwood trees root shallowly, so regular watering is recommended. In case of leaf withering, it is advisable to fertilize with potassium. They are sufficiently resistant to pests and diseases.
