01 From Gardening to Our First Online Shop

Gardens and plants have been my passion since my school years. After more than ten years working as a gardener, during which I gained practical experience and learned what trees truly need, my first major challenge arrived. I was given the opportunity to manage the fruit-tree online shop of Ing. Miroslav Gavalec.

My beginnings in the online world were modest. While Ing. Miroslav Gavalec supplied bare-root trees, interesting varieties and packaging materials, I packed and dispatched every order.

However, it was not in my nature to stop looking for something new. I began visiting trade fairs in Germany, Austria and Poland, where I established my first contacts and started importing container-grown trees to Slovakia. At that time, this method of selling trees was almost unknown in our country.

02 Years of Hard Work Behind the Scenes

The first three to four years were a true test of determination. I carried out the work without financial reward alongside my main job—often late at night and at the expense of my free time and time with my family.

While the market competed to offer the lowest prices, I wanted to stand out through the size, health and quality of our plants. I dealt with the first challenges, learned from my mistakes and gradually built a trusted reputation.

03 Our Own Path and a European Vision

After years of gaining valuable experience, the time had come to establish my own online shop. I built my own warehouse, expanded the product range and set an ambitious goal: to expand into the European market.

I continued to handle every part of the operation myself—from purchasing and caring for the plants to packing them for delivery.

04 Joining Forces with an Expert and Adopting a New Philosophy

The decisive turning point came last year, when I joined forces with the expert Dr. Matej Prokop. We realised that the world is changing—and so is the climate in our gardens. That is why we made a fundamental decision: we began transforming our entire product range.

We are gradually removing ordinary products that can be found in almost every garden centre. Instead, we are focusing on what growers and gardening enthusiasts genuinely need: varieties that are better equipped to meet the challenges caused by current climate change.

05 Carefully Selected Varieties

Today, our range includes carefully selected varieties from the Baltic countries and Romania, the latest cultivars from Western Europe, as well as exceptionally resilient varieties from Ukraine and the colder regions of Eastern Europe.

We do not source our trees from ordinary resellers. Instead, we obtain them primarily directly from breeding stations and from companies closely connected to them.
