Pear (Pyrus communis) 'Euras'

Winter Romanian variety with immunity to scab and melon flavor.

'Euras' is a modern winter pear variety from the SCDP Voinești research station. It is highly valued in organic fruit growing for its complex resistance (immunity to Scab and Rust, resistance to Psylla and Mites). Interestingly, its taste improves radically after storage, resembling yellow melon.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Immunity to Scab and Rust.
  • Resistance to Pear Psylla and Mites (ideal for organic farming).
  • Exceptional taste change after storage (yellow melon aroma).
  • Large fruits (150 – 180 g).
  • Medium vigor suitable for smaller gardens.
