Winter Romanian variety with immunity to scab and melon flavor.

'Euras' is a modern winter pear variety from the SCDP Voinești research station. It is highly valued in organic fruit growing for its complex resistance (immunity to Scab and Rust, resistance to Psylla and Mites). Interestingly, its taste improves radically after storage, resembling yellow melon.

Tree

• Vigor: Medium.
• Crown: Tends towards a spherical shape, wide and well-branched.
• Fruiting: Bears fruit mainly on short wood.

Fruit

• Size and Weight: Medium to large, 150 – 180 g.
• Shape and Color: Ovoid. The skin is green-yellow at harvest, sometimes with a gentle red blush. During storage, it changes to intense yellow.
• Flesh: White to creamy, fine and juicy.
• Taste: Less distinct at harvest. After storage (2 – 3 months), it acquires an exceptional aroma and taste resembling yellow melon.
• Usage: Fresh consumption (best after storage), processing.
