- Amelanchier is an interesting berry that came to us from Canada. It has an excellent sweet taste and is therefore suitable for eating raw. The Smoky variety is the most common in Canada.
- Smoky is a compact shrub that grows to about 3-4m.
- Flowering in May, Smoky is a self-pollinating variety of Amelanchier.
- Fruits form in June , they are dark purple berries, 1,3cm large , ripen gradually. The taste is sweet and very tasty. It is reminiscent of blueberries, both in appearance and taste. They contain many vitamins and minerals. They grow in clusters. They promote the overall fitness of the body, act preventively against stomach diseases, oncological diseases. The dried leaves can be made into tea , which helps with stomach and intestinal problems.
