Sweet cherry x sour cherry VSTREČA is an excellent compromise between cherry and sour cherry, it has the best characteristics of the cherry such as the size of the fruit and the excellent taste of sour cherries, but less sour. It has the advantage of a narrow column, good quality tasty fruit and a regular harvest.
The cherry is on a Gisela 5 rootstock , this ensures a low cherry growth, it grows upright, height up to 3m , regular pruning is needed to maintain the columnar shape of the crown. It does not take up much space, so it is suitable for even the smallest gardens.
VSTREČA is a partially self-pollinating variety , for a higher and better quality harvest, a pollinator in the form of another cherry or cherry tree is suitable.
The fruits are large, dark red, weigh about 9g and are heart-shaped. The taste is excellent, sweet and juicy with a slight sourness of cherry. The fruit begins to ripen in June. Once ripe, the fruit lasts a long time on the tree without loss of quality.
