Red Currant (Ribes rubrum) 'Rondom'

Vigorous Dutch variety with a long harvest period.

'Rondom' is an old, proven Dutch currant variety, whose name ("all around") refers to the dense arrangement of berries around the entire stem. It is known for its exceptionally strong and vigorous growth (up to 2-3 meters), making it suitable as a hedge. The fruits remain on the bush for a long time without dropping, allowing for gradual harvesting until late summer.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Long harvest period (July – August).
  • Vigorous growth (suitable for hedges and windbreaks).
  • Large berries densely arranged around the stem.
  • Fruits do not drop or shrivel.
  • Ecological value (shelter for birds).
