'Orlovim' (Орловим) is a Russian summer apple variety, created by crossing ‘Antonovka’ and SR 0523. It is valued for its high resistance to scab (Vm gene), high yield, early entry into bearing, and the production of attractive fruits with excellent flavour.

Variety Characteristics

Tree

• Growth: Medium-vigorous, fast-growing.
• Crown: Globular, medium density.

Fruit

• Size and weight: Medium-sized, with a weight of 130 – 150 g.
• Shape and colour: Slightly oblate, conical. Light yellow, most of the surface is covered with bright red stripes and blush.
• Skin: Smooth, glossy.
• Flesh: Creamy, firm, crisp, very juicy.
• Flavour: Sweet-tart, with a rather strong aroma (rating 4.5/5).
• Use: Versatile.
