Peach (Prunus persica) 'Triumf'
Romanian variety with very large fruits and high resistance.
'Triumf' is a Romanian peach variety bred at the SCDP Băneasa station. It was created by crossing the classic varieties ‘Elberta’ and ‘May Flower’. It is highly valued for its large to very large fruits, excellent taste, and high frost resistance, making it suitable even for colder regions.
Main advantages of the variety:
- Very large fruits (240 – 260 g).
- Stone separates easily from the flesh (Freestone).
- Very high frost resistance and disease resistance.
- Universal usage (excellent for canning and jams).

Fruit

- Shape and Color: Round to ovoid, slightly flattened. The skin is golden-yellow, covered with a deep red blush on the sunny side (approx. 75% of the surface).
- Flesh: Orange-yellow, with red hues around the stone, medium firm, juicy, crunchy.
- Taste: Sweet, aromatic, with slight acidity.
- Stone: Freestone (separates from flesh).
- Usage: Universal – fresh consumption, processing (jams, nectars, compotes, drying, freezing).
