Apricot (Prunus armeniaca) 'Bergarouge®'

Modern French variety with attractive fruits and high resistance.

'Bergarouge' (also known as 'Bergarouge Aramis') is a promising French apricot variety created by crossing the popular varieties 'Bergeron' and 'Orangered'. It is valued for its large, deep orange fruits with a red blush and excellent sweet taste. Thanks to its high resistance to frost and Sharka (Plum Pox Virus), it is suitable even for higher elevations and colder regions.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • High frost resistance (wood and flower) and Sharka resistance.
  • Large attractive fruits (deep orange with red blush).
  • Excellent sweet and aromatic taste.
  • Suitable for higher altitudes and colder areas.
  • Decorative appearance (suitable also as an ornamental shrub).
