Red Currant (Ribes rubrum) 'Buzhanska' (Бужанська)
Highly productive Ukrainian variety with large shiny berries.
'Buzhanska' is a modern Ukrainian red currant variety bred at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences. It ranks among the best varieties from this region. It is popular for its exceptionally high yield, large fruits, and excellent frost resistance, making it ideal for harsher climatic conditions.
Main advantages of the variety:
- High and stable yield (5 to 10 kg per bush).
- Large, shiny, deep red berries (0.8 – 1.2 g).
- Excellent frost resistance (down to -35 °C).
- High resistance to powdery mildew and leaf spots.
