Pear (Pyrus communis) 'Carpica'

Autumn Romanian variety with creamy flesh, ideal for organic growing.

'Carpica' is a valuable autumn pear variety bred at the Piteşti – Mărăcineni institute by crossing the quality varieties ‘Napoca’ and ‘B.P. Morettini’. It is extremely popular in home gardens because it combines excellent fruit quality with high resistance to diseases and pests, reducing the need for chemical protection.

  • Fine, creamy, and melting flesh.
  • Very early bearing onset (2nd – 3rd year).
