- The winter pear variety NOJABRSKAJA (Ноябрьская) originates from the Republic of Moldova. Its name in Russian means "November pear".
- The tree grows moderately to strongly upright with branching branches. The crown of the Nojabrskaja pear tree is wide and dense, with spreading branches. It has a conical shape, and the branches can twist and curve, adding character and aesthetic appeal to the tree.
- NOJABRSKAJA pear is grown on Caucasian rootstock (Pyrus caucasica), which is considered one of the suitable choices for pear cultivation because it offers several advantages. This rootstock typically helps the tree exhibit greater resistance to certain diseases and pests. Additionally, it can enhance the tree's resilience to adverse weather conditions such as frost and drought.
- The flowering time of the NOJABRSKAJA pear varies depending on the region but typically occurs in April or May. The extended flowering period contributes to better pollination and higher fruit set. This pear variety requires cross-pollination, and suitable pollinators include Bartlett (Williams Christ), Clapp's Favorite, or other pear varieties that bloom during the same period.
- NOJABRSKAJA pear ripens in autumn, usually in September or October, but it reaches its consumable maturity from December and can be stored in the refrigerator until May.
- The fruits have the typical pear shape, with sizes ranging from approximately 300g to 400g, and some can reach up to 600g. During ripening, the Nojabrskaja pear fruits have a greenish-yellow color that gradually changes to light yellow or yellow. Sometimes, there may be fine red blush on the skin.
- NOJABRSKAJA pear is tender and juicy, with a delicate and pleasant flavor profile. The fruits have a sweet taste with a balanced combination of sweetness and subtle acidity. Their sweetness can have a gentle aromatic note.
- NOJABRSKAJA pear thrives in sunny or partially shaded locations. It is suitable for cultivation even in colder regions.
