An excellent large-fruited variety of JAYHAVEN peach. The fruits are very large, delicious, tasty aromatic. It has high disease and frost resistance. It is highly valued for the quality of the fruit, it can be stored for a long time.
The tree grows vigorously , k on the rootstock St.Julien A. It is a moderately vigorous rootstock suitable for heavier soils.
JAYHAVEN peach is a self-pollinating variety, it flowers profusely. The yield is high and regular.
The fruits are medium sized, approximately 250g-300g, round. The skin is juicy, very aromatic, yellow, the stone is easily detachable. The peach is yellow-red. For a high yield of fruit, it is advisable to sieve the peaches, this will increase the quality and size of the fruit. The taste is sweet, very aromatic, juicy.
The peach ripens in late July to August.
The variety is resistant to miniliasis of stone fruit , but also has a high resistance to curly leaf spot. It has high frost resistance.
This variety can also be grown organically, without the use of sprays.
A sunny site is suitable.
