MAYPOLE is one of the autumn resistant varieties. It also impresses with its decorative appearance, in spring it has beautiful pink flowers and in autumn it charms us with red apples with pink flesh. It is a favourite with space-poor growers and can also be grown in containers on a balcony or patio.
The MAYPOLE apple variety grows healthily, compactly and has a typical columnar shape with a height of 2.5-3m. It grows on the M26 rootstock which is a rootstock suitable for varieties with weak growth. It is sufficiently hardy and produces an early and high yield and very good quality fruit.
The MAYPOLE apple tree blooms in May and has very decorative pink branches. A pollinator in the form of another apple tree is advisable for the best yield.
MAYPOLE apples are deep red. The surface is a smooth matt skin. The flesh is crisp, firm and decoratively pink. The taste of MAYPOLE is sweet and sour, mostly sweet, juicy and aromatic. It is suitable for direct consumption or processing. Apples contain many vitamins and minerals, so they should not be missing from any diet.
The fruit of the MAYPOLE apple ripens during September.
