'Prevoshodnaya Kolesnikovoi' is a high-quality Russian sour cherry variety, prized for its high productivity and fruits of excellent quality. The tree has a lower, medium-vigor growth habit with a characteristic weeping crown. The fruits are large, oval, and dark red in color. The flesh is also dark red, medium-firm, and has an excellent sweet-tart taste. The variety is partially self-fertile and, due to its characteristics, is suitable for universal use, from fresh consumption to processing.

Variety Characteristics

Tree

Growth is medium-strong, reaching a height of up to 2.5 meters. The crown is spherical, weeping, and of medium density. It comes into bearing in the 4th year after planting. It is partially self-fertile, but for higher yields, a pollinator is recommended (‘Zhukovskaya’, ‘Vladimirskaya’).
