Russian drought-resistant variety with a long harvest period.

'Sputnitsa' is a Russian raspberry variety by breeder I. V. Kazakov. It is known for its high yield and good drought resistance. It forms tall, strong bushes that bear tasty dark red fruits suitable for universal use. The shoots have thorns only in the lower part, which facilitates harvesting.

Variety Characteristics

Bush

• Growth: Tall (up to 2 m), strong. Can grow without support, but tying is recommended.
• Thorns: Thorns are hard but located almost exclusively in the lower part.

• Shape and Color: Hemispherical, dark red.
• Taste: Dessert quality, sweet-sour, very distinct aroma.
• Usage: Universal. Firm fruits are excellent for freezing and canning (retain shape).
