'Bere Kievskaya' (Бере Киевская) is a Ukrainian early winter pear variety, created by crossing the varieties ‘Lesnaya krasavitsa’ and ‘Olivier de Serres’. It is valued for its high yield, large fruits, and excellent sweet-tart flavour. It is also characterized by good storability and resistance to scab.

• Growth: More vigorous.
• Crown: Broadly pyramidal, medium density.

Fruit

• Size and weight: Large, with a weight of 170 – 280 g.
• Shape and colour: Elongated-pyriform. At eating maturity, it is greenish-yellow with a brownish-red blush.
• Flesh: Creamy, medium firm, tender, buttery, and juicy.
• Flavour: Excellent, sweet-tart, with a delicate aroma (rating 4.6/5).
• Use: Versatile (fresh consumption, compotes, jams, pies).

Resistance and Requirements
