Pear (Pyrus communis) 'Argessis'

Romanian summer variety with attractive red fruits and high resistance.

'Argessis' is a quality summer pear variety bred at the Piteşti – Mărăcineni institute by crossing ‘Napoca’ and ‘B.P. Morettini’. It is valued for its attractive fruits with a prominent red blush, high productivity, and especially for its high resistance to fungal diseases.

  • Attractive fruits with a red blush (50 – 60% of the surface).
  • High and regular yield (up to 30 t/ha).
