Plum (Prunus domestica) 'Hanka'

Mid-early German self-fertile variety with excellent spicy taste.

'Hanka' is a modern German plum variety bred at the University of Hohenheim by crossing 'Hanita' and 'Katinka'. It is valued for its self-fertility, high and regular yield, and excellent spicy taste. Thanks to its tolerance to Sharka, it is a reliable choice for growers.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Excellent spicy and aromatic taste (balanced acidity).
  • Self-fertility and regular high yield.
  • Medium-sized, firm fruits (30 – 45 g).
  • Tolerance to Plum Pox Virus (Sharka).
  • Very good storage life and transportability.
