- COMPACTA , a new variety of apricot, originated in the USA, is a cross between Moongold x NJA20. It is interesting because of its compact, columnar growth, so it is suitable for small gardens, it is also suitable to grow it in a larger container on a balcony or terrace.
- The COMPACTA apricot tree grows compactly , has a narrow columnar shape about 200cm- 250cm tall . It is also suitable for growing in small gardens or containers on balconies or terraces.
- It flowers depending on the place of cultivation and climatic conditions. However, most often in April. The COMPACTA apricot is self-pollinating.
- The COMPACTA apricot produces large, about 50-60g, golden yellow and orange fruits with tasty and sweet flesh. Fruits can be harvested in summer from June onwards. They are suitable for fresh consumption, but also for pies, jam or liqueur.
- COMPACTA apricots should be sited and planted in a sheltered, sunny position with permeable soil and plenty of moisture.
