The TOPHIT plum is a large-fruited plum variety with highly appreciated flavour characteristics. It is valued for its disease resistance and resistance to scarlet fever.
The tree grows moderately vigorously, compactly. TOPHIT is a semi-self-pollinating medium late flowering variety. For a better quality harvest, pollination with another plum is advisable.
TOPHIT plum fruits are very large up to 100g, dark blue oval in colour. The flesh is yellow-green, firm, sweet, juicy and separates well from the stone. The flavour is very aromatic with a slight acidity.
The fruit ripens in the first half of September. The fruit is suitable for direct consumption, pickling, jam making and distilling.
TOPHIT plum comes into fruiting very early, the harvest is regular, large and stable. In some years very large.
Planting our plums is possible all year round, they have a fully developed root system, so the onset of fertility is the following year.
TOPHIT plums are best grown in a sunny position, but can also tolerate partial shade.
